Transitional Rehabilitation Housing Program (TRHP 2)

About The Program

The Transitional Rehabilitation Housing Program 2 (TRHP 2) is a supportive housing and intensive case management program that prepares forensic clients for more independent housing in the community (within 1-2 years). Clients of the TRHP 2 program are individuals who have serious mental health conditions, have been found Not Criminally Responsible (NCR) and are under the jurisdiction of the Ontario Review Board (ORB).

TRHP 2 provides supportive housing in a CMHA-operated building located on the grounds of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), and offers 24/7 staff supervision and support from a multidisciplinary team, which includes social work, occupational therapy, behavioural therapy, nursing, case management, and residential support care workers. This allows the team to provide clients with holistic, quality care.

The TRHP 2 program provides clients with an opportunity to practice independent living skills and supports them in establishing autonomy, with the hope of further promoting feelings of healing, connection and empowerment to overcome barriers related to stigma and challenges compounded by institutionalization.
